Looking for a green, energy-efficient home in Phoenix,

As full-time residential real estate sales professionals,
we share a deep concern about the environment and a passion
for the green building movement that’s beginning to put
sustainable building practices within reach of more homebuyers
across the Valley.
That’s why we created this Web site. Our goal was to make
it the place for Phoenix-area homebuyers to find energy-efficient,
green homes that lower their energy bills and create a
more sustainable and healthier environment for themselves
and their families.
A Chicago native, Glen has been a local Realtor for more
than 20 years. His attraction to energy efficiency and
sustainable building began in the 1970s when he was an
industrial design major at the University of Illinois at
Chicago working his way through college as a carpenter
restoring turn-of-the-century Victorians. Waiting in long
lines to purchase gas during the Arab oil embargo literally
drove home the serious problems of our dependence on foreign
oil.
Since then he has renovated numerous homes using green
building principles (including the couple’s current home
in Fountain Hills), participated in solar-adobe workshops,
completed the Scottsdale Green Building course and is working
toward his EcoBroker designation.
He recently completed work in Northern Arizona on Peggy’s
and his “off-the-grid” prefab 400 square-foot getaway on
36 acres south of the Grand Canyon incorporating solar
and wind-powered energy, rainwater collection/harvesting,
proper orientation and shade.
Glen looks forward to sharing his knowledge with everyone
interested in buying or selling a green home or those of
you who would like to make your own home more energy-efficient
and sustainable.
Peggy is a graduate of South Dakota State University and
Scottsdale Realtor who has immersed herself in networking
and connecting with eco-friendly professionals and green
building experts in order to help her clients who wish
to buy or sell a green home. She is a volunteer for the
Green Building EXPO in Scottsdale and has taken numerous
classes on solar energy, green building and related fields.
She makes it her business to seek out the best green homes,
townhomes and condos on the market today and bring them
to you via this web site.
